In addition, Cooper is launching a new TV ad campaign based on its “Don’t Give Up a Thing” theme.
“The Cooper Tire Halftime Show” is part of an exclusive sponsorship with ABC and is scheduled to run on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN online, starting in September. During the show, the Cooper logo will be displayed in a number of prime locations, the company said.
During the second half of regionally televised college football games, the “Cooper Tire Defensive Stop of the Game” will be featured.
“Over the years, college football on ABC has tapped into the passion and excitement of millions of loyal sports fans as they cheer their favorite teams to victory," said Jim Keller, Cooper’s marketing vice president. “We are excited about our sponsorship with ABC and the Cooper Tire Halftime Show as it brings the Cooper Tire brand in front of what has become a Saturday ritual for sports fans everywhere.”
The new ad campaign will feature Cooper’s all-season CS4 Touring tire, the Zeon performance line, and Discoverer light truck/SUV tires.
