Continental Offers New Fleet Service in Key European Markets

Continental Tire is introducing its “Conti 360° Fleet Services” to the UK and seven other key European markets this month. According to Continental, this new and diversified range of products and service, including tires and other mobility solutions for the European road transport industry, is the manufacturer’s response to the changed requirements of international freight transport. Conti 360° Fleet Services is specifically aimed at fleets operating across national borders, and through the modular fleet optimization package it offers Continental’s fleet experts focus on cost minimization with clear cost control and reliable time frames.

“We have completely revamped our package for transport fleets operating across Europe with the Conti 360° Fleet Services. We are offering our customers a unique package of services related to commercial vehicle tires,” reports Dr. Michael Korpiun, head of fleet sales and marketing, Continental Truck Tires. “This begins with the purchase of the tires and stretches from immediate assistance for breakdowns, retreading, regular support and fleet inspection to business evaluations of all costs incurred.”

The Conti 360° Fleet Services range covers all services related to tires for long-distance transport HGVs. This begins with the purchase and professional fitting of the tires, which can be bought in the traditional way through Conti’s pan-European dealer network or at fixed costs on a pence-per-kilometer contract. Continental’s tire experts can provide solutions tailored to the specific needs of customers in order to maximize economy and optimize transport efficiency. Within the framework of ContiFleetCheck, constant analysis and support for commercial vehicle tires accompany the tire over its whole life, right up to its scheduled replacement.

“Due to the modular structure of our service package, our customers can put together their Conti fleet contract exactly for their requirement profile depending on the size of the company and operations,” Korpiun comments. “Therefore the Conti 360° Fleet Service is indeed an all-round package for fleet operators that has previously not been available in this form and depth. A tailor-made package for all services related to commercial vehicle tires can be put together according to the size of the company and its activities. Tire handling can be completely outsourced to Continental partners here.” He said the services can also be utilized by those using leased and rental vehicles, either directly through the Conti partner or within the framework of a full-service contract with the leasing or rental vehicle provider.

At the end of a tire’s life, customers can fall back on Continental’s professional casing service, ContiCasingManagement. During the whole period that the tire is in use, customers can have tire-related data and condition reports analyzed by Conti experts as part of a FleetManagementReport. If required, Conti 360° Fleet Services can provide all cost and usage data for the truck tires as a company fleet cost calculation.

A strategic alliance with international partner ADAC TruckService plays a decisive role in the new package, says Continental. The company is confident that collaboration with the ADAC, Europe’s largest mobility service provider, offers an immediate guarantee of extensive customer services in the key European markets. In the future, Conti 360° customers will be able to communicate with a central contact person in their own language – regardless of in which European country their vehicle is currently located. A time-consuming and often costly search for local service providers is no longer necessary.

“This means business confidence across Europe and a clearly defined package for customers at fixed calculable costs – regardless of which country the company is based in and where their vehicles are traveling,” Korpiun notes. “There is no need for discussions about quality and the scope of services.”

Continental also states that one essential advantage of Conti 360° Fleet Service compared with other offers for truck fleets is that it offers a standardized range of services across Europe. The package, which is structured in individual service modules, is thus available internationally at the same level of quality. “Large fleets with international operations want partners who also provide a constantly high level of services across borders,” explained Dr. Michael Korpiun, head of Continental fleet sales, about the conception of the new services. “The collaboration with ADAC TruckService represents a unique package for assignments on European roads.”

The new Conti 360°Fleet Services are being introduced into Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic in February. Over the course of the year, the new service package will also become available for fleet operations in Austria and Switzerland, and will be further expanded across Europe in the years to come.
