Bridgestone Americas’ store operations group was fined by the state of New Jersey for violating terms of a 2000 settlement with the state’s Consumer Affairs Division.
The company paid $20,000 in penalties and another $6,405 to reimburse the state for legal and investigative costs.
The Consumer Affairs Division said the violation was discovered during reviews of Bridgestone-owned stores in Parsippany and Montclair, which were required as part of the prior settlement.
