Big O Adds Two New Indiana Locations

Big O Tires has opened two new franchise stores in Indiana, located in Carmel and Noblesville.

Both locations are owned and operated by first-time Big O franchisee Joe Peil. Prior to joining Big O Tires, Peil operated his locations as Joe’s Auto Service Inc.

“Big O Tires was a perfect fit,” said Peil. “The breadth of product offerings, support from operations, solid and proven infrastructure, and their overall buying power as a leading franchise organization helped to make my decision an easy one and I am very confident in the decision that I have made.”

The addition of the two locations, which were rebranded on March 9, brings Big O’s Indiana store count to 20. Big O operates in 19 states and has 389 franchisee-owned locations and two company-owned locations.

Bridgestone invests in Yoshi Mobility to expand into virtual inspection, EV charging

Yoshi is also commercializing its mobile EV charging platform to address EV fleet charging challenges.

Yoshi Mobility recently closed its $26 million Series C funding round. The round includes strategic investors General Motors Ventures and Bridgestone Americas, as well as international investors Universal Motors Agencies and Shikra Limited. Launched out of Y Combinator in 2016, the company is also backed by ExxonMobil, DN Automotive, NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, and NFL legend Joe Montana. Yoshi Mobility has raised more than $60 million to date. In addition to scaling its core business, the company said Series C funding enables it to expand three new business lines: preventative maintenance, virtual vehicle inspections and electric vehicle (EV) charging.
