ASA Tire Systems Chosen as Software Provider for BATO Dealers

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations’ Consumer Replacement, U.S. & Canada Consumer Tire Sales division has selected ASA Tire Systems as the software provider for its North American consumer dealers. ASA said it will supply its point of sale and accounting enterprise software solution, which includes an integrated suite of BATO interfaces and other optional add-on modules.

The new software offering, CornerStone Powered by ASA, provides an option for single-store and multi-store operations. ASA said it is designed to improve productivity, revenues, and overall customer and employee satisfaction. Conversion of the current CornerStone dealers to Cornerstone Powered by ASA will begin this month and continue through the first quarter of 2011.

The addition of the Bridgestone CornerStone dealers will bring the total number of U.S. locations running ASA software to over 5,000, the company said.

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
