ASA Software System Finds Success With Bridgestone Dealers

ASA Tire Systems said it has successfully implemented its pilot program "CornerStone Powered by ASA," a point-of-sale and accounting enterprise software solution.

The program, announced last year at the Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show, was developed for North American dealers in Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations’ consumer replacement, US & Canada consumer tire sales division. According to ASA, 95% of Bridgestone dealers who were running the original CornerStone package are converting to CornerStone Powered by ASA. The pilot conversions were completed in December 2010; general rollout will continue through April 2011.

This solution includes a tightly integrated suite of BATO Interfaces and other optional add-on modules that provide Bridgestone’s consumer tire dealers with a robust software solution that will help them grow their businesses. It provides an option for the single-store operation, as well as multi-store locations, and gives the means to improve productivity, revenues, and overall customer and employee satisfaction, ASA said.

“I have been in business for the last 30 years and this POS/store operating system is the friendliest system I have employed,” said Kyle Powell, owner of Poco Automotive in Gatesville, Texas, which was one of three pilot conversions. “We were excited to be one of the pilot stores. We knew there would be plenty of questions and one of our concerns was support. The support team at Cornerstone had set the bar very high for the Cornerstone/ASA support group. Not only has the Cornerstone/ASA support met the challenge, but in some ways have exceeded the support we had grown so accustomed to.”

“The pilot program was designed to put our software and support staff through their paces and verify capabilities,” said Ken Halle, president of ASA Tire Systems. “We are pleased that the CornerStone Powered by ASA pilot program was successful and very proud of our operations and support staff or making it so.”
