A fire last week that lightly damaged a Henrico County, Va., tire dealership has been ruled arson.
Tire Station was broken into on April 20, with the burglar setting fire to the store. It was not clear whether the perpetrator was planning to steal from the store or simply commit arson.
There were no injuries, and police are still investigating, according to reports.
Firefighters and police responded to a 12:45 a.m. call. The owner also contacted police when the store security camera system shut down. When the owner arrived, he claimed to have seen several people fleeing from the building.
Fire investigators found that a flammable liquid was poured throughout the structure and a filing cabinet was set on fire. The fire was reportedly contained to the filing cabinet.
