Tire Rack to Supply Motor Trend, Automobile Magazine

Tire Rack will be the official tire and wheel supplier to both Motor Trend and Automobile Magazine.

As part of the arrangement, Tire Rack will be the official "go-to" company on tires and wheels for the two brands by providing tire industry expertise and product support, as well as access to its test facility.

The company will also assist each of the magazine during testing for their annual “of the Year” awards, including Motor Trend’s Car, Truck, and Sport/Utility of the Year and Automobile Magazine’ s All-Stars and Automobile of the Year.

Though Tire Rack will be involved in providing knowledge on a variety of feature stories and vehicle tests, the partnership will not have an effect on the magazines’ unbiased reviews, they stated.

“Regardless of the type of vehicle one drives, the common denominator with each is its tires. In partnering with Motor Trend and Automobile Magazine, we look forward to helping consumers make conscious, informed decisions when it comes to the purchase of both their next car and the tires they choose to install when it comes time to do so,” said Matt Edmonds, vice president of Tire Rack.

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
