RTI Introduces Power Steering Fluid Exchanger

RTI Technologies Inc. said its latest fluid service tool, the FluidPro PSX-3 Power Steering Fluid Exchanger, was developed to make power steering fluid replacement fast and easy. Users just insert the dual hose wand into the vehicle’s power steering reservoir, press the power switch, and cycle the steering wheel lock to lock until the waste fluid matches the color of new fluid.

The PSX-3 utilizes a dual pump process to simultaneously extract waste fluid and fill with new fluid to speed the service. It features two positive displacement diaphragm pumps so no priming is necessary, the maker said. The waste pump is high capacity rated to provide enhanced cold temperature fluid extraction. The PSX-3’s compact design saves valuable shop space and features a professional appearance to assist in selling this OEM recommended service.

“The FluidPro PSX-3 sets a new benchmark for power steering fluid exchangers,” said Kelvin Butz, vice president of marketing and technical services for RTI. “It’s fast – typical process times are under 5 minutes – and it’s easy to use. The PSX-3 offers tremendous application flexibility and can be used in a variety of shop conditions.”
