Vegas Hotels Waive Resort Fee for GTE & SEMA Show

Those thinking about attending the upcoming Global Tire Expo and SEMA Show in Las Vegas have something more to consider: reduced hotel rates.

SEMA says that more than a dozen major Las Vegas hotels will waive their customary “resort fees” for event attendees and exhibitors. The fees were recently enacted by many Las Vegas properties, and range from a few dollars to as much as $20 in addition to prevailing room costs and taxes.

To receive the benefit, though, rooms must be booked through SEMA’s Hotel Booking Service.

Properties that have agreed to waive the resort fee for attendees of the GTE and SEMA Show include: Circus Circus, Excalibur, Hard Rock Hotel, Hooters Casino Hotel, Luxor, Mirage Hotel, Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, New York New York, PH Towers Westgate, Planet Hollywood, Sahara Hotel, Stratosphere, Treasure Island, Tropicana Resort, Trump International Hotel and Tower, Venetian Resort Hotel and the Westin Casuarina.

Among the properties that don’t charge the additional fee are: ARIA Resort and Casino, Bally’s Casino Resort, Bellagio, Bluegreen Club 36, Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah’s Hotel Las Vegas, Hilton Grand Vacation properties, Imperial Palace Hotel, Las Vegas Hilton, Las Vegas Marriott Suites, Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas, MGM Grand Hotel, Paris Las Vegas, Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, Residence Inn by Marriott, Rio Suite Hotel, Rivera Hotel and the Springhill Suites.

The Paris is the official headquarters for the GTE.
