Federal released its first ever asymmetric tire, the 595RPM, which the company said is engineered for “passionate driving enthusiasts.”
The tire features a rounded tread profile for a quiet ride; four drainage grooves to provide improved stability while maintaining a consistent footprint in wet conditions; and an asymmetrical tread pattern enhanced within the inner and outer shoulder areas to ensure a smooth pace, efficient water displacement against aquaplaning and decrease rolling noise. Strong blocks on the 595RPM’s sidewall allow for a more equal distribution of pressure across the entire contact patch, improving cornering capability in extreme maneuvers, according to the tiremaker.
The tire is currently available in five sizes: 255/30ZR21, 225/35ZR19, 285/35ZR19, 225/40ZR18 and 215/45R17.
