Point S Expands into Finland

Tyres & Accessories – Finland has become the 18th country to host branches belonging to the Point S tyre retail network.

The Point S concept and image will now be adapted and promoted by the Full Fit Team network in Finland. The first outlets will reportedly be harmonized with the Point S colours in the coming days. According to an official release on the news, the new branches’ business model will be the same as in every Point S country – the local structure and the members remain fully independent, sharing a common pan European signage and network policy.

Full Fit Team Oy was founded in 1999 by independent Finnish tyre dealers. Today the network counts 10 members, involved in both passenger car and industrial tyre business, owning 20 outlets spread all over the territory.

“Point S European support in terms of purchasing policy, key accounts agreements and marketing tools, combined with the long term expertise of the Full Fit Team members in the market (some of them being established since 3 owners generations) give us the ambition to target a leading position in Finland,” says Marko Saarenpää – Point S Finland managing director.

Since the beginning of 2009, over 150 new members have joined Point S in Europe and the network now totals 1800 outlets. According to the company, Point S’ 1,000 independent entrepreneurs sold over 11 million tyres in 2008, which represents roughly 6% market share in passenger cars, 4×4, light truck and truck tyres.
