Coker Named ARMO’s Person of the Year

(Akron/Tire Review) Corky Coker, president of Coker Tire Co. in Chattanooga, Tenn., and former SEMA chairman, was named as the Automotive Restoration Market Organization’s Person of the Year.

The annual ARMO award recognizes a member for their outstanding achievements in the restoration industry.

Coker was a founding member and former chairman of ARMO, the auto restoration council within SEMA.

“I am deeply honored by this award and feel blessed to have been able to earn a living in this wonderful restoration market,” said Coker. “I’d like to thank all of the council members who felt I should receive this wonderful accolade. All our ARMO member companies – from manufacturers and distributors to restorers and retailers – are actively embracing the mission and goals of ARMO and are working hard to ensure that our important issues, collector car legislation, new products, and educational programs are moving forward.”

Giti Tire Manufacturing awarded by Chester County Chamber of Commerce

Giti Tire said it has been a supporter of education, organized farmer’s markets and participated in community food drives.

Giti Tire Manufacturing (USA) received the Industry of the Year Award from the Chester County Chamber of Commerce. Among its initiatives, Giti Tire said it has been a staunch supporter of education, sponsoring the Giti Math & Science competition in collaboration with the Chester County School District since 2018.
