Tenneco Plans Expansion of Exhaust Lines

(Akron/Tire Review) Tenneco Inc. said it will introduce 575 additional part numbers to its Walker and DynoMax aftermarket exhaust system lines in April, expanding its coverage for domestic and import vehicles.

The new SKUs cover cat-back exhaust systems to direct-fit catalytic converters and premium muffler assemblies and will give Tenneco 92% coverage of the North American car population, the company said.

“We’ve made it clear to distributors and shop owners that we’re committed to investing in the emission control category and helping them grow their businesses,” said Frank Murkowski, emission control marketing manager at Tenneco. “We continue to identify new coverage opportunities across our broadmarket, performance and heavy-duty lines that can help our aftermarket trade partners attract new customers.”

Among the new Walker products are 123 direct-fit catalytic converters, 102 Quiet-Flow3 direct-fit mufflers and assemblies, 75 SoundFX mufflers, and 35 resonator assemblies. Some 100 additional direct-fit catalytic converter SKUs will be added in June, Tenneco said.

The 95 new DynoMax SKUs available in April include 14 high-flow cat-back exhaust systems, five premium Ultra Flo mufflers, 14 sets of headers, and dozens of pipe and hardware part numbers. Tenneco said it is also expanding its Thrush performance exhaust product line with three new glasspack mufflers available in April.
