Intelligent Tire Tech Conference Comes to Detroit

(Akron/Tire Review) The first-ever Intelligent Tire Technology Conference will be held Oct. 23-25 at the Marriott Detroit in Livonia, Mich.

Presented by the International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC), the event will provide insights into various tire technologies, including tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), embedded RFID and extended mobility systems.

Tire Review serves as Premier Media Partner for the conference.

Industry professionals, including Kevin Rohlwing, senior vice president of education and technical services at TIA, will offer attendees a unique look at the nuances of this niche topic.

In addition to Rohlwing, other presenters include: John Maxgay, lead engineer at GM; Robert Mince, manager of chassis electronics at Ford; Mark Shaw, senior systems engineer for the sensor and actuator solutions division of Freescale; Gregor Kuchler, innovation manager at Siemens VDO; Bob Benedict, senior research and development associate at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.; and Sean Boyle, chief technology officer at TireStamp.

Topics include consumer perceptions of TPMS, understanding the impact of TPMS on the replacement passenger tire market, case studies in tire information systems and many more.
