“The Aftermarket Show is an event that has really, over the years, become recognised as the industry event. The UK aftermarket is pretty fragmented these days, but this is the event that works for us because it brings so many different people and businesses together,” said Alcar UK sales and marketing director, Kevin Greer.
 
Greer and his team will be using The Aftermarket Show to launch two distinctive new features of the Alcar UK business. The Maidstone-based company will be unveiling a new range of DOTZ alloy wheels, as well as promoting a new ‘web shop’ facility that has just been launched on the company’s Web site – www.alcar-wheelwright.co.uk.
 
Greer explained: “We’ve had the DOTZ programme in our portfolio for some time, but we’re re-launching it in 2007 because there are a whole load of new wheel sizes and applications just coming online.
 
“And launching a new business-to-business webshop facility is also an important development for us. It’s a unique facility in our industry and allows customers to select a vehicle, interrogate the stock and then order the product they want – all from their own computer. We’re hoping both of these initiatives will create a lot of interest at The Aftermarket Show.”
