At a banquet held in early April, Bauer Built Tire was given the Bert Grover Child Advocacy Award from the Wisconsin School District Administrators Association. The ceremony was part of the Spring Superintendent’s Conference held at the Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin.

This award is given annually to a business that exemplifies the high ideals of Bert Grover in regards to advocating and providing support for the youth in the state.

Greg Doverspike, Durand-Arkansaw district administrator, wrote in his nomination letter about Bauer Built, “There are few if any events in the community that Bauer Built does not contribute towards. This started with the founders Sam and Ethel Bauer, continued on with Jerry and Sue Bauer and has continued on with Tad and Jodi Bauer and Mandi and Chad Smith.”
