The Alliance Tire Group has opened a new warehouse in Savannah, Ga.
“Our new location is ideally situated near the Port of Savannah and is also close to major OE and replacement tire customers,” says John Mancinelli, vice president of operations for Alliance Tire Americas. “Just as our tires are purpose-built to excel on the job, our new warehouse was specifically outfitted and situated to reflect lessons learned from years of serving customers in the tire business around the world. With our new location, streamlined systems and configurable layout, we will be able to get tires to our customers more quickly and efficiently than ever.”
The 202,000-square-foot facility will replace the tiremaker’s Memphis, Tenn., warehouse which is slated for closure in 2017. The facility will stock more than 2,000 SKUs that make the company’s Alliance, Galaxy and Primex tires. The warehouse is also a shipping point for Alliance’s new Constellation brand of truck tires.
