Double Coin Drive-Position Tire Earns SmartWay Verification

DoubleCoin-RLB450The Double Coin RLB450 drive-position tire from China Manufacturers Alliance (CMA) has received SmartWay verification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

“Double Coin’s ultra premium RLB450 is a regional/long-haul drive-position tire designed to deliver superior traction in all weather conditions. The RLB450 meets today’s transportation requirements and joins six other Double Coin fuel efficient models in our product line,” said Teresa Galvan, director of customer service at CMA. “We are very pleased to have our premium products recognized by the EPA for our low rolling resistance technology. Our customers can be assured that using any of our low rolling resistance tires will assist them in reducing emissions and increasing fuel mileage.”

Double Coin’s six other SmartWay verified tires include the RR680, FR605, FD405, FT105, FT125, and the FD425.

Schaeffler Group USA has expanded its parts offerings for vehicles in the United States and Canada, adding over 70 new parts to the INA, LuK and Schaeffler Bearings portfolios. These additions expand application coverage to an additional 30 million vehicles in operation, the company said.

New LuK products include nine different clutch kits, including traditional LuK RepSets and RepSet DMFs. The newly released clutch kits provide coverage to many common vehicle applications, including various Toyota, BMW and Volkswagen models, accounting for 4.3 million vehicles in operation, the company said.
