Following the early October flooding, Pennsylvania-based McCarthy Tire Service has sent a trailer load of relief supplies to South Carolina to aid recovery efforts.
McCarthy Tire Service delivered nonperishable food items, bottled water and personal care supplies to Christ Central Ministries in Columbia, S.C., which distributes relief supplies to communities in the region. The company also sent supplies for post-flood cleanup work.
“We have service locations in Columbia and Charleston,” said John D. McCarthy Jr., president of McCarthy Tire Service. “Our thoughts and prayers have been with our employees and customers, their families, and the citizens of South Carolina during the flooding.”
“As a family company, we understand how important it is for everyone to pull together in challenging times. We hope that our donation will help families get back in their homes as quickly as possible,” he adds.
McCarthy Tire Service acquired Ragan Tire Group in July, adding eight North Carolina stores and three service locations in South Carolina and Georgia.
