NHTSA announced Discount Tire is issuing a recall of certain Pathfinder SAT tires.
The affected replacement light ruck tires may have been manufactured with an inner liner gauge that is lower than specified, which could cause tire tread separation and rapid air pressure loss, reported NHTSA.
Recalled tires include:
- Pathfinder SAT size LT 245/75R17E1 121R W – manufactured September 16, 2013, to May 19.
- Pathfinder SAT size LT 265/75R16E1 123Q W – manufactured August 5, 2013, to May 19.
- Pathfinder SAT size LT 265/70R17E1 121S B – manufactured September 2, 2013, to May 19.
- Pathfinder SAT size LT 275/65R18E1 123S B – manufactured October 7, 2013, to May 19.
Discount Tire will notify tire owners, and dealers will provide replacement tires for free or issue a refund.
