Advance Auto Parts promoted Tammy Finley to serve as the company’s executive vice president of human resources and general counsel.

In her new role, Finley will continue to lead Advance’s human resources and will assume responsibility for legal, risk services and government affairs functions. Additionally, she’ll serve as corporate secretary for the company.

Finley joined Advance in 1998 and has worked in various roles with the company. Most recently she served as senior vice president of human resources. Prior to joining Advance, Finley was a labor and employment attorney with The Center for Employment Law, and also served as a staff attorney with the Virginia Supreme Court.

Finley has a law degree from Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.  She received her bachelor’s from Virginia Tech.
