Goodyear Names New Manager for MEA Region

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has named Jean-Denis Perche its new general manager of its Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. Perche has more than 10 years with the company working most recently in with Goodyear Dunlop Tires France.

In his new role, Perche will focus on strengthening existing relationships, building on the technical experience that exists within the region, Goodyear said.
“This is a strong, emerging market where you need to tailor your approach to sales and product from country to country. So many companies do not appreciate the diversity of the region; the way you look at United Arab Emirates needs to be different than Saudi Arabia and even more so when you travel further to the likes of Morocco, Egypt and Ghana,” said Perche. “We’re selling an integral component of a vehicle to drivers all over the world and to be the best at what you do, you have to understand your customer.”

Perche, started his career in Germany in 1996 at Euromaster. In 2002 he joined Dunlop as pricing and business intelligence manager in Germany. In 2004, Perche transferred to Goodyear Dunlop Tires France where he held various positions before recent move to the MEA region.

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
