Andrew Hoit, vice president of sales at Falken Tire Corp., was appointed to the board of directors of the non-profit Tread Lightly! on Oct. 7.

Tread Lightly is dedicated to promoting responsible recreation across the country. Hoit has long been a strong advocate of safe and responsible off-road recreation, Falken said.

“I’m honored to be asked to join the board of directors of this vital organization,” said Hoit. “I believe strongly in what Tread Lightly! does. Off-roading is such an important sport to me and I have always been a proponent of education which is vital to protecting our natural environment in its natural condition so everyone can continually enjoy access to our public lands.”

Falken has supported Tread Lightly! through a cooperative partnership dedicated to helping the organization educate the public on the importance of conserving environments to ensure sustainable recreation, the tiremaker said. The company is also the official tire of Tread Lightly!
