Giti Tire Online Training Program for Dealers Now Available in French

Giti Tire is now offering its Tread Academy in French.

The online training program was introduced last year to help inform North American tire dealers about GT Radial tires and the latest tire trends in order to effectively assist and advise their customers.

Visitors to treadacademy.com can now choose to view the site in English or French by clicking the link above the login box.

“Participation in Tread Academy has been outstanding with more than 300 enrollees in the consumer and commercial tire modules,” said Joe Anzelmo, senior manager of marketing, for Giti Tire (USA Inc). “We are thrilled that the program is now available in French because we have a strong and growing network of distributors and dealers in French-speaking Canada.”

The academy allows dealers to become certified in different program modules including sport and performance, winter tires, passenger car and minivan, light truck tires, introduction to commercial tire sales, and advanced commercial tire sales. When a new product or test is added to the site, users receive an email inviting them to update their certification, the company said.

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
