Bridgestone Launches New Ecopia Drive Tire

Bridgestone Americas introduced a new premium drive radial, the EPA SmartWay verified and CARB compliant Bridgestone M760 Ecopia tire.

Bridgestone Americas introduced a new premium drive radial, the Bridgestone M760 Ecopia tire.

“The new M760 Ecopia answers commercial customer need for a fuel-efficient tire that offers longer wear, as well as superior traction and casing durability,” said Bert Jones, manager of product marketing, TBR, Retread and OTR, for Bridgestone Commercial Solutions. “Typically in this application, you sacrifice fuel economy for traction. With the M760 Ecopia, fleets don’t have to choose one feature over the other.”

The newest addition to the Ecopia line is EPA SmartWay verified and CARB compliant, and offers high traction and long mileage in a retreadable design. According to the company, specially designed edges improve traction and last longer, and the tire’s sidewall design maintains durability while allowing for greater fuel efficiency with reduced overall tire weight.

The tire is primarily designed for use in on-highway, long-haul and regional service. It also can be applied for pick-up and delivery service. According to Bridgestone, the M760 Ecopia works well on single and tandem axle trucks, making the tire ideal for a broad range of fleet applications.

The M760 Ecopia comes in four sizes – the 295/75R22.5 is available now, while sizes 285/75R24.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 will launch in 2014.
