TGI, Tireco Announce Distribution Deal

Tire Group International and Tireco Inc. have entered into a distribution arrangement that will allow TGI to exclusively distribute Geotrac, Geostar and Milestar branded tires throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

TGI will offer those brands on a direct factory basis and will also offer a fill-in program from its headquarters warehouse in Miami.

Tire distributor and private brander Tireco was founded in 1970 and is based in Gardena, Calif.

“We are truly excited about the opportunity to grow our brand portfolio throughout Latin America and the Caribbean with such a well-regarded partner like TGI,” said Victor Li, Tireco vice president. “We see the value in the market expertise and their ability to properly service the market through their Miami warehouse facility, as well as with direct factory shipments.”

Ascot Supply Corporation, based in Newnan, Georgia, has selected Mark Paquette for the newly created position of vice president. In this position, Ascot Supply said Paquette will oversee the growth of the company's products, corporate profitability, manage marketing and advertising and assume many other responsibilities.

He will work under the direction of current President David Kessler and officially begin his new role on June 3. Paquette joined the tire and automotive industry in the early 1980s at his father's tire shop, and his contributions to Mohawk Rubber Sales were instrumental in the company's growth and eventual sale to Myers Tire Supply in 2021, according to Ascot Supply. Paquette eventually was given a promotion to the role of director of operations at Myers Tire Supply.
