TGI Gets Atturo in P.R., Dominican

Miami’s Tire Group International has been named the exclusive distributor for Atturo tires for Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Factory direct shipments to both territories have begun, TGI said.

“TGI is the perfect partner for these markets. They have the existing relationships and needed a product like the AZ800 to fill out their current product mix,” said Michael Mathis of Atturo Tire. Once again, the Atturo approach of keeping real performance within reach has been well received by another new market.”

TGI offers the Atturo AZ800 high performance tire for SUV and sport truck fitments, which is available in popular sizes covering 19- to 24-inch wheel diameters.

At one of its South Florida NTW distribution centers, as well as TBC Corp.'s Palm Beach Gardens corporate offices, TBC employees recently had the opportunity to show their children the ins and outs of the company's role in the tire industry during "Take Your Child to Work Day." The kids had a jam-packed day learning about tires, taking photos, doing media research, and even eating lunch with the company's new CEO, Don Byrd.
