Tech International Names Vice President of Corporate Development

Tech International has appointed Barry Gant to vice president of corporate development for the company.

"Barry’s background in financial analysis and risk management will be essential as we pursue new ventures and opportunities for growth,” said Dan Layne, president of Tech International.

Gant has more than 17 years of experience in corporate finance, and expertise in mergers and acquisition. He will lead the manufacturer’s global growth strategy in this newly developed position.

Previously Gant worked as chief financial officer for Carolina Energy Solutions and worked as vice president for Royal Bank of Canada’s investment banking group.

At one of its South Florida NTW distribution centers, as well as TBC Corp.'s Palm Beach Gardens corporate offices, TBC employees recently had the opportunity to show their children the ins and outs of the company's role in the tire industry during "Take Your Child to Work Day." The kids had a jam-packed day learning about tires, taking photos, doing media research, and even eating lunch with the company's new CEO, Don Byrd.
