Speedco Opens 52nd Lube & Tire Center

Speeco, which provides lube, oil and filter service in about 30 minutes to the heavy-duty trucking industry, has added more than 20 new locations in the last three years.

The newest location opened Apr. 1 in Commerce City, Colo., located just outside of Denver off I-270 at exit 2A.

The Commerce City location offers three pull-through lube lanes and two tire lanes. Forty of Speedco’s 52 locations offer full-service tire lanes that will now feature Bridgestone and Firestone brand tires, as well as Bandag retreads.

Speedco will host a grand opening celebration at the Denver location July 2.

TPMS technology hasn’t changed much over the years. You might think, “But that’s a good thing, right? Don’t we want a consistent technology that can be fixed easily?” You may be on to something there, but TPMS technology currently relies on radio waves to transmit data. That means the radio spectrum the sensors use can be “noisy” with other nearby devices potentially causing interference with the sensor. It’s like someone interrupting you mid-sentence. Bluetooth sensors may be the answer to these radio-wave issues.
