The North American Tire & Retread Expo is less than a month away, taking place April 15-17 in New Orleans.
The inaugural event will feature training and educational sessions, speakers, a visit from racecar driver Helio Castroneves, and a ‘Miss Retread Truck Tire’ contest.
“Our goal is to bring together tire and retread business professionals so that they can buy and sell to each other,” stated the show on its website.
Kicking off the expo is an official ribbon cutting ceremony with Andy Kopplin, first deputy mayor and chief administrative officer of the city of New Orleans, at the entrance of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on April 15 at 9 a.m.
Throughout the expo, representatives from Tech International, Central Marketing, Shamrock Marketing, B&J Rocket America and Matteuzzi srl will lead training sessions on a variety of subjects.
The expo will also host a range of educational sessions, featuring speakers Gustavo Lima, CEO, Latin Expo Group; David Shaw, head of research, Tire Industry Research; Ben Moore, Net Driven; Phil Nigh, global manager, Tech International; David Stevens, managing director, TRIB; tire industry veteran Manny Cicero; and Joe Casebere, vice president, Rema Tip Top North America.
Helio Castroneves, an award-winning racecar driver, will visit the expo floor on April 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to sign autographs and take pictures.
On April 16 from 3 to 4 p.m., the show will host a ‘Miss Retread Truck Tire Contest.’ Three companies that produce the “most beautiful retreaded truck tire” will receive awards.
