New Officers, Board Set for RAC

The Rubber Association of Canada held its 92nd annual meeting in June, electing new officers and board members for 2012.

The annual meeting included a day of golf at the Royal Woodbine Golf Club in Toronto.

The RAC’s new chairman is Doug Hamilton of Goodyear Canada Inc. First vice chairman is Peter Allen of Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., and second vice chairman is Jim West of Bridgestone Canada Inc. Roch Leblanc of American Biltrite (Canada) Ltd. Will serve as treasurer.
 
RAC directors include Mattia Bussacchini, Pirelli Tire Inc.; Bill Dube, National Rubber Technologies Corp.; Greg Findlay, Cabot Canada Ltd.; Bernard Gregoire, Hamilton Kent Inc.; Robert Hagerman, Airboss of America Corp.; Mario Larose, Waterville TG Inc.; and Oliver Winschiers, Continental Tire Canada Inc.

At one of its South Florida NTW distribution centers, as well as TBC Corp.'s Palm Beach Gardens corporate offices, TBC employees recently had the opportunity to show their children the ins and outs of the company's role in the tire industry during "Take Your Child to Work Day." The kids had a jam-packed day learning about tires, taking photos, doing media research, and even eating lunch with the company's new CEO, Don Byrd.
