The familiar Bigfoot monster truck now has a new look, and will be unveiled at the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star game in Anaheim, Calif.
For the first time in its 35-year history, Bigfoot is now a Chevy. Long time primary sponsor Ford dropped Bigfoot in 2007. When it came time to replace the monster truck (actually several trucks), Bigfoot Inc. turned to General Motors, according to Bob Trent, vice president of Bigfoot Inc.
Bridgestone Americas’ Firestone brand, the official tire of MLB and Bigfoot’s primary sponsor, helped work out a deal to unveil the new Chevy Silverado rigs at the upcoming All-Star Game FanFest, held around the July 13 game.
The giant pickup that will attend the game features customized MLB livery. Bigfoot agreed to the truck brand switch at MLB’s encouragement; Chevy is MLB’s official truck.
