The tiremakers stopped supplying the tires to GM Daewoo’s Bupyeong plant last week in a pricing dispute, forcing the auto plant to shut down. Both Hankook and Kumho had requested a 12% OE tire price increase, but were rejected by GM Daewoo.
GM Daewoo sought a court order to resume shipments, which was granted this weekend. Reports said the tiremakers were deciding how to respond to the order. (Tire Review/Akron)
