Conti Rolls Out Grabber HTS60

Continental Tire the Americas is launching its newest General brand all-season, highway terrain tire, the Grabber HTS60 in August 2015.gen-grabber-hts60-a1

Designed for light trucks, SUVs and CUVs, the General Grabber HTS60 replaces the Grabber HTS. In addition to technology enhancements, tread life for the HTS60 lasts 25% longer than its predecessor.

“The new Grabber HTS60 is an excellent all-season tire geared towards the on-road driver,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for General Tire. “Staying in line with our Grabber brand, this tire offers durability, performance and comfort but has improved tread life over the former HTS and we think drivers will really appreciate that.”

The Grabber HTS60 features a symmetric pattern with a strong center rib and has been optimized for water evacuation, according to Continental. The tire’s metric sizes have been optimized for ride quality, while its LT-metirc sizes are designed to deliver stability and grip under heavy loads.

Additionally, the Grabber HTS60 features DuraGen technology with cut and chip resistance that improves tread life in rugged terrain, Continental said. The brand’s Comfort Balance Technology offers a cushioned tread that contains an absorption layer to help create a more comfortable ride, the tiremaker noted.

The Grabber HTS60 is backed by a 65,000 limited mileage warranty. It is available in 50 metric sizes for wheel diameters ranging from 15″ – 22” and speed ratings of S, T or H and in 12 LT-metric and flotation sizes ranging from 15” – 18” and with a speed rating of R or S.

Dealers can start ordering the Grabber HTS60 in July.
