Founded in 1958 as an independent tire dealership by Harold Coker (who would later serve as term as president of the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association), Coker Tire Co. has grown to become a major distributor of rare collectible car tires.
Today, the Chattanooga, Tenn.-based company offers a large selection of specialty tires worldwide, including period-correct bias-ply and nostalgic radial tires for collector vehicles from the late 1890s through the mid-1970s, as well as everything from antique and classic cars, hot rods, and motorcycles to drag cars, vintage aircraft, military vehicles, antique tractors and unicycles.
Second generation president Corky Coker, who served multiple terms as SEMA chairman, now runs the company. (Tire Review/Akron)
