New Web-Based Document Systems from JMK

JMK Computerized Tire Dealer Information Systems is releasing a new Web-based document imaging service to help tire dealers better manage customer paperwork.

The new system integrates with JMK’s Tire Dealer Management System software, and allows dealers to use a low cost in house fax/scanner to automatically index, scan, and save all documents associated with the original sales order and to store that information on JMK’s off site secure Internet server.

Those images can then be recalled later using any work station at any store location, and re-printed, faxed, or e-mailed directly.

Jim Krakower, JMK’s director of system development, says, "With this feature it is no longer necessary for tire dealer staff to file/store boxes of paper documents with reference sheets on work done. The system, using bar code and optical character recognition technology, will automatically catalog the scanned image to eliminate the need for manual user entry for filing and to simplify retrieval operations.”

JMK said the new system will be on display next week at its SEMA Show booth.
