Thieves Try to Rob Carlisle Tire & Wheel

(Pennlive.com) Thieves tried to steal tires from the Carlisle Tire & Wheel factory lot along North College Street early Sunday morning, Carlisle police said.

Security personnel said they witnessed a black male inside a trailer parked on the lot just after 4:30 a.m., police said.

The guard then overhead a conversation the thief had on a cell phone, where he was telling someone that there wasn’t any tires in the truck, that "they got the wrong one," police said.

The suspect fled the area and security called the police. Nothing was taken from the lot during the incident.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at 243-5252.

At one of its South Florida NTW distribution centers, as well as TBC Corp.'s Palm Beach Gardens corporate offices, TBC employees recently had the opportunity to show their children the ins and outs of the company's role in the tire industry during "Take Your Child to Work Day." The kids had a jam-packed day learning about tires, taking photos, doing media research, and even eating lunch with the company's new CEO, Don Byrd.
