GAAS Scholars Supported by Zurich

Insurance provider Zurich, through the recently held Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS), is helping award $1,000 scholarships to 20 aspiring automotive aftermarket professionals.

The GAAS scholarships are funded partially by a grant from Zurich’s High-Octane Scholarship Program, designed to address the educational needs of students looking to enter automotive aftermarket fields.

“These 20 scholarship recipients not only demonstrate a desire to work in specific industry segments, but they also meet the criteria Zurich identified based on input received from customers,” said Bob Tschippert, senior vice president for Zurich’s Direct Markets group. “Zurich values the close relationships we have with customers, and we are committed to helping their industries grow and succeed.” (Tire Reviw/Akron)

At one of its South Florida NTW distribution centers, as well as TBC Corp.'s Palm Beach Gardens corporate offices, TBC employees recently had the opportunity to show their children the ins and outs of the company's role in the tire industry during "Take Your Child to Work Day." The kids had a jam-packed day learning about tires, taking photos, doing media research, and even eating lunch with the company's new CEO, Don Byrd.
