Tyre, Equipment, Accessories Companies Sign Up for 2009

Next September’s Brityrex exhibition in Manchester has gotten off to a flying start with some of the best-known names in tyres, workshop equipment and accessories committing to exhibit at the U.K.’s only dedicated tyre trade event.

Amongthose making an early decision to support the show are tyre manufacturers ToyoTires and Uniroyal truck tyres, together with two of the U.K.’s leading tyrewholesalers, BITS and Kings Road Tyres.

Brityrex09will take place Sept. 22-24, 2009 at Manchester Central, formerly known asG-Mex. The show is sponsored by the NTDA, who will stage its highly popularAnnual Dinner and TAFF Awards presentation as part of the event, on Sept. 23.

SarahClavey, Toyo U.K.’s senior marketing executive, said: “Brityrex International2009 represents an ideal arena for us to speak with key players within the tyretrade. As a tyre manufacturer with ambition, we need to talk to the widestpossible audience about our products and overall market offer and this eventgives us that opportunity. Also, as a responsible and progressive tyremanufacturer, we feel it is important to support these types of events with ourpresence.”

PeterGaster, group managing director of Kings Road Tyres, explained his company’sdecision to exhibit again in 2009: “Brityrex is a really important event forthe U.K. tyre industry and we want to be there to promote our business directlyto our customers. We had a great show last time and we are expecting bigger andbetter things next year.”

Workshopequipment suppliers will also be well represented, with show regularsBeissbarth, Haweka and Hofmann Megaplan already signed up.

JamesBoon, Hofmann Megaplan U.K.’s managing director, added: “Brityrex 2007 was sogood for us that we are doubling our commitment for 2009. Manchester is a greatvenue and it attracted exactly the right kind of people for us. We couldn’thave been any busier last time around so we will approach the show with genuineenthusiasm and expectation. We are ready to deal.”

Twoof the biggest players in repair materials, tools and accessories have alsobacked the show. Apaseal and Rema Tip Top will both be returning to Manchesternext September.

RemaTip Top will be showcasing their most expansive range of tyre consumables andgarage equipment, with the headline acts nominated as the new Butler Aikido 34,Kendo and the new entry level range of Promaxx tyre changers.

Informationtechnology is an increasingly important area for the tyre trade and one of theleading names in the sector is MAM Software, which is another early supporter.The company has recently signalled its intention to focus on growing itspresence in the market with the appointment of experienced industry ITspecialist Graham Dunford, who commented: “MAM Software views Brityrex as theideal platform to showcase its exciting range of next level, cutting edge softwareand data and added-value solutions, as well as growing its brand awarenessacross the market.”

PaulFarrant, managing director of ECI International, which organises the bi-annualexhibition, commented: “The number of big name exhibitors who have alreadysigned up for 2009 confirms there is a real momentum building around theexhibition. We are well ahead in terms of bookings and interest compared to thesame time in 2007, which is extremely pleasing.

“Anothervery positive factor is that a number of exhibitors have greatly expanded theirstand space for the show. For example, Rema Tip Top and Hofmann Megaplan willhave a much larger presence than before, which reflects their confidence in theevent.
