Pirelli Enters Agreement With Brembo, Magneti Marelli

Pirelli, along with Italian brake systems specialist Brembo and technology systems manufacturer Magneti Marelli, has announced the commencement of a cooperative technological agreement.

The aim of this joint work, says Pirelli, is to develop leading edge solutions for the Italian and international automotive industry.

Under this project, Pirelli’s intelligent ‘Cyber Tyre’ will be integrated with Magneti Marelli electronic control systems and Brembo braking systems in order to achieve specific performance and safety related technological solutions. Pirelli states that a particular focus for the parties will be the development of applications in the area of vehicle safety systems, along with reducing environmental impact in line with international regulations and the European Union CO2 emissions limits set to enter into force in 2012. Yokohama to supply Geolandar tires as OE on Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs

Geolandar X-CV and Geolandar A/T G31 tires are being supplied for the 250 series Land Cruiser.

Yokohama Rubber is supplying its Geolandar X-CV and Geolandar A/T G31 tires as original equipment (OE) to Toyota Motor Corporation for use on the automaker’s new SUV: The 250 series Land Cruiser, which launched worldwide in April. The new SUVs are being fitted with two sizes of Geolandar X-CV – 245/70R18 110H and 265/60R20 112H – and two sizes of Geolandar A/T G31–245/70R18 110H and 265/65R18 114V.
