Conti Launches Online Commercial Vehicle Training

Continental Tire North America introduced its new “Engage360 Untamed Innovation” online training program, which targets the training and technical information needs of commercial vehicle tire dealers.

Engage360 Untamed Innovation allows dealership personnel to learn the basics on construction of Continental premium commercial tires, review product technical information and become certified as a Continental Commercial Tire Specialist, according to the company.

“The Engage360 Untamed Innovation program is a fully interactive training program that allows our tire dealers and their staff to get in-depth training on Continental’s commercial vehicle tires, but at their own pace and convenience,” training manager Amy Spears said. “This knowledge will help them assist their commercial tire customers in making more informed choices and add to their toolbox of tire sales skills.”

Participating in the training will also give dealers the chance to earn reward points toward Continental merchandise and monthly giveaways, she noted.

“Engage360 Untamed Innovation training modules include videos, illustrations or downloadable data sheets, as well as a test and certificate of completion upon successful navigation of the training. Engage360 has been highly successful with our passenger and light truck tire dealers, and we feel that Continental’s commercial tire dealerships will find it equally valuable in fulfilling their training needs,” Spears said.

The first modules available include commercial vehicle tire basics and technologies; in-depth looks at the Continental HSL2 (heavy steer long-haul), HTL Eco Plus (heavy trailer long-haul), and HDL Eco Plus (heavy drive long-haul) tires; and how to use the ContiCostCalculator, an online fuel savings and tire cost comparison tool. Additional commercial vehicle tire training modules will be launched in a second phase later this year, Conti said. (Tire Review/Akron)
