MAM Software, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of MAM Software Group, Inc. has deployed the newest eCatalog integration to Autopart, a business management solution for the automotive aftermarket.

Established in 1989, Eastern Warehouse Distributors (AutoParts Warehouse) is a locally owned and operated wholesale automotive parts distributor, headquartered in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. As an active member of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Eastern has multiple warehouses in the Philadelphia area. They are stocked with parts their customers have come to rely on and they use Autopart business management solution from MAM Software.

Looking to take the system to the next level, Eastern Warehouse Distributors implemented Autocat, the newest eCatalog integration by MAM Software, the company said. Currently, Eastern is using Autopart and Autocat in all 36 locations and average about 9,000 lookups per day.

Autocat (electronic parts catalog) is built in ACES format, the same format the manufacturers follow in creating the data. That means that the updates are processed quickly with minimal errors, MAM says. And since Autocat utilizes cloud technology, up-to-date product information is available to the parts counters and shops faster and without any extra effort.

Autocat provides Eastern with direct access to the latest updates from a wide variety of industry suppliers. Eastern can streamline what is displayed on screen by eliminating part types that they do not stock and arrange the parts groups in ways that makes sense to them.

John Myers, vice president of Operational Integrations for Eastern Warehouse Distributors, said, “We analyzed the look-up results in Autocat and found the data to be up to date and accurate. This gave us confidence that we would see increased sales opportunities and decreased return rates.”

Autocat’s predictive text search feature makes it easy for users to look up parts by name or category. The Interchange and Buyers Guide provides additional tools for countermen to find the correct parts and service their customers. Personalized notes and customizable product categories allow the catalog to be tailored to individual requirements.

MAM Software will be demonstrating how the Autocat software works at AAPEX booth #2279.
