Camoplast Rebrands as Camso

CAMSO_InsideCamoplast Solideal, an off-road tire, wheel and track specialist, will now be known as Camso in an effort to rebrand the company, according to Tyres & Accessories.

Five years ago Camoplast bought Groupe Solideal and represented both Camoplast and Solideal. The company’s CEO and chairman of the Camso board, Pierre Marcouiller said the launch of Camso “highlights the success” of the company within the past years — having sales grow in its off-the-road sector from $95 million to more than $1 billion in the last seven years.

“One might think that producing on-road and off-road tyres are one and the same, but this simply isn’t the case,” Marcouiller told T&A. “This has driven Camso to constantly reinvent itself. Our people take the time to understand the multitude of constraints and challenges that machine operators experience.”

Camso employs more than 7,500 employees in 27 countries and operates four research and development centers, 24 manufacturing plants and an international distribution network in more than 100 countries. The company also works with material handling, construction, agriculture and powersports.
