TDW Adds 15th Location in Seattle, Moves Houston Facility

Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. announced plans to open a Tire Dealer’s Warehouse (TDW) branch in Seattle in December and to relocate its TDW location in Houston to a new facility, which is slated to open Nov. 18.

The new Seattle TDW location, the company’s 15th, is a 40,000-square-foot facility in the Washington South Sound area. With roughly 1 million cubic feet of space, the warehouse offers eight docks and a will-call area, according to Hercules, which added the location will feature the new Rapid Delivery Service (RDS), with free delivery twice a day and same day and express options to most areas. In addition to the Seattle metro area, it will service all of North Washington.

"We have been servicing the Seattle market out of our Portland, Ore., location since its opening in 2007," said Bill Trimarco, president and CEO of Hercules. "The reason for establishing a physical presence in Seattle is simple – better service. Increasing delivery routes and accessibility to will-call in the Seattle metro market will provide our customers with more options to compete in today’s market."

The relocated 46,000-square-foot facility in north Houston also will feature RDS. That warehouse encompasses roughly 1.4 million cubic feet of space, the company added.

Both locations will offer the full line of Hercules-brand tires and Ironman-brand passenger, light truck and OTR/specialty tires. Other brands that will be offered include Bridgestone, Firestone, Yokohama, Nexen, Falken and Solideal Industrial.
