Perfect Equipment Wins Chrysler Supplier Award

Perfect Equipment received the Chrysler Group LLC 2013 Emerging Supplier of the Year Award this month at the company’s 2013 Annual Strategy Meeting and Supplier Awards Ceremony. More than 2,500 global supplier executives attended the event, including representatives from Perfect Equipment and parent company Wegmann automotive.

“To receive such a prestigious award from a valued partner like Chrysler is a testament to our team’s hard work,” said Jeff Waechter, Perfect Equipment president and CEO. “Our goal is to ensure the success of our customers. From developing innovative products to offering world-class customer service, we are dedicated to providing our partners with solutions that help them achieve their goals.”

Award recipients were determined based on an evaluation of each company’s External Balanced Scorecard (EBSC) performance in 2012 – a rating system that evaluates supplier performance in areas such as quality, delivery, cost, warranty and partnership. The Emerging Supplier of the Year Award recognizes a high performing supplier with a lower volume of business that demonstrates tremendous potential for growth and a long-term relationship with Chrysler. Perfect Equipment currently supplies Chrysler with premium zinc wheel balance weights.

“Perfect Equipment has been recognized for continuing to provide Chrysler with low-cost, environmentally-friendly, high quality wheel weights,” said John Torvinen, director of metallic purchasing for Chrysler, who presented the award. “They have also leveraged their capacity, product diversification and global platform. This, along with their Green status for all of the EBSC performance metrics, is what propelled them to the top of the list in this category when determining this year’s award winners.”
