Yokohama Offers an iPad a Day at ConExpo

In addition to exhibiting the latest of its OTR and commercial truck tires at the ConExpo in Las Vegas March 22-26, Yokohama Tire Corp. will be giving away an iPad a day for five days at its booth (N-1257).

"People go to Las Vegas to win, so we’re trying to help make that come true," said Gary Nash, Yokohama vice president of OTR sales. "A lucky ConExpo attendee will win an iPad every day. All they have to do is stop by our booth and register."

Nash said a name will be drawn each night for the iPad but the winners do not need to be present at the booth. “If they can’t be there, we will contact the lucky winners after the show and ship them their new iPad.”

Forty-one percent of drivers got a flat tire in the last 12 months

Over a quarter (28%) of drivers opted to change the flat themselves, and 24% called roadside assistance.

Hankook Tire’s latest Gauge Index recently found that 41% of drivers have experienced a flat tire or tire blowout in the last 12 months. Another 29% have discovered a puncture or leak. The Gauge Index found that one-third (32%) of drivers who experienced a flat tire in the last year said the primary cause was a nail, which was the No. 1 culprit.
