Report: Sentury Building Tennessee Plant
Sentury Tire is considering setting up a manufacturing facility in the Memphis, Tenn., area, according to The Atlanta Business Chronicle. The proposed plant would cost $500 million and cover 545 to 560 acres. Construction is reportedly starting next year and by 2019 is expected to produce 50 million tires annually. Hankook’s Tennessee Site Facing Problems with Roads
Hankook Tire America Corp. is facing problems at its Clarksville, Tenn., tire plant after its access road was built 5 feet above where the plant meets an outside road, according to local media. Police Investigate String of Thefts in Tennessee
According to the Bristol, Tenn., police department, numerous retread tractor trailer tires were taken from Appalachian Tire’s storage lot between July 7-14. The tires taken were of various brand names in the sizes of 11R22.5 and 295/75R225.
