International Tyres and Trading Right Distributor for Sumo Firenza

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) The Sumo Firenza is reportedly steadily increasing its sales performance in both the U.K. and European tyre markets and is now considered to be increasingly favoured as a highly competitive choice in the truck tyre sector of the market.

During the past 18 months, Sumo Firenza have exhibited at many international tyre shows throughout Europe introducing its truck tyre range and the UK has proved to be a particularly successful market for the brand which is exclusively distributed throughout the U.K. by West Midlands based tyre company International Tyres and Trading.

The appointment of International Tyres was made following an extensive survey of the U.K. truck tyre market with Pat Berriman, Sumo Firenza’s senior vice president for sales and marketing stating: “We believe International Tyres are able to provide a good trading balance of a professional business profile with impressive national distribution facilities and we are very confident that between the two companies Sumo Firenza will continue to gain momentum in the U.K. truck tyre sector.”

Graham Rice of International Tyres adds: “We have steadily built up a thriving base of strategic regional partners to service the needs of an increasing demand from the end user for the Firenza  product and in our opinion the Sumo Firenza brand is now readily accepted as a popular truck tyre option in the small to medium sized fleets where cost per mile is paramount.”

The Firenza truck range is manufactured in the Far East but incorporates Japanese technology and offers six different patterns for specific applications with the Firenza SSR05A available for steering and trailer useage. The latest design provides a wider tread and flat profile for impressive mileage and smooth handling. Other patterns include a solid shoulder construction with zero angle steel band ply for good protection against irregular wear plus a special tread groove to combat stone retention and therefore reduce casing damage. The SSR05A pattern size options include 295/80R22.5, 315/80R22.5, 11R22.5, 12R22.5, 27570R22.5 and 315/70R22.5.

Additional patterns include the SSD08, SSM07 and SST07 which are all designed for driving positions and all positional use courtesy of a unique tread pattern for impressive traction in both wet and dry road conditions. Finally when it comes to Super Singles, the Firenza SSR055A is available in size 385/65R22.5.

Rice concludes: “Once our customers have had the opportunity to assess the appearance and rugged construction they immediately appreciate the tyre’s competitive pricing structure and obvious superior position in the market.”
