Automotive supplier Denso is opening a shipping plant warehouse in Montgomery, Ala.

It’s always been Denso’s core operating philosophy to be close to our customers in the regions in which we operate,” said Hikaru “Howard” Sugi, president and CEO of Denso International America Inc. “We’re proud to extend our network and welcome Montgomery into the Denso family.”
Scheduled to begin operation in April 2014, the facility will support the warehousing and shipping of HVAC units.
Denso will lease an existing 103,000-square-foot warehouse in Montgomery, the company said. The warehouse represents a $2.2 million investment and will create 45 new jobs.
The investment is part of Denso’s expansion plan to invest nearly $1 billion in North America to expand its product development and manufacturing capabilities here.
